CLAY BAR
You need a clay bar to remove embedded contaminants in your paint. Waxes and Sealants Cannot Bond To Your Paint Unless All The Contaminants Are Removed With A Clay Bar

VIDEO DETAILS
Using a clay bar is the process of removing "embedded" contaminants from your cars paint. Washing your car only removes the surface contaminants. So if you have never detailed your car or it has been a couple months between washes this step is essential for a deep clean. A clay bar will not however, remove scratches or etching.

IRON REMOVAL BATH
Iron fallout comes from trains, shipping yards, and factories. These particles are known as rail dust or iron fallout and land on your cars paint. If not treated these particles will oxidize and form rust on your paint overtime.

EXPLANATION
Iron sits on the paint and once it oxidizes in the presence of oxygen it begins the process of turning into rust.
It is better to take care of the iron before it becomes it's big brother rust which requires bodywork. The purple is the chemical reaction of the iron remover reacting with the iron.
